European Challenge tour player Simon Lilly (Wellingborough) shone on a beautiful spring day with 63 (-9) 7 shots clear of his nearest rival ex Overstone Professional Shane Owen (The Belfry). Although Lilly was nine under, his team of Les Bone, Tom Pearson and Chris Bone could only managed another 4 birdies but it was enough to win the team event by 3 shots from Mike Gallagher's (Farthingstone) team of Ray Beekie, Peter Water and Drew Russell.
