The Cantrell Cup was introduced into the County schedule to help the young Amateurs by playing against the County Professionals, in recent times it has evolved into a 36 hole strokeplay competition,

Peterborough Milton proved more than a good test of golf as the recent wet weather and the poor conditions especially in the morning  made scoring tough, however Junior County Captain Adam Myers and his partner NPGA Vice-Chairman Tim Rouse shot an incredible 65 (-7) in the morning fourballs, Then followed it up in the afternoon foursomes with a 75 (+3) to win by a shot from Phil Edwards and Ian Symonds (-3).
