A bright but breezy day saw the 2011 off to a fine start, 5 players shot par or better in the morning win Simon Lilly (Wellingborough) leading the way with a 70 (-2) followed by 3 players with 71 (-1). With the wind picking after lunch, Lilly was the only player to break par in the afternoon with yet another 70 (-2) to win by 4 shots from Cold Ashby's Shane Rose. Third was Dan Wood (Brampton Heath) one shot back from Rose with 145 (+1). Wood also won the Trainee's Prize.
