An excellent spring day saw 15 teams play for the De Venues Winter Pro Am at Staverton Park. In the Pro Medal the scoring was mixed but a number of players managed stand out scores. Once again Simon Lilly showed his class with a 5 under par 66, second place went to Dan wood who had a strong finish to register a two under par 69. These two where closely followed by Mike Gallagher and Stuart kier with 1 under par scores of 70. This result continue to cement Simon’s position at the top of the ‘Order of Merit’.

Simon’s good form in the Pro Medal was backed up by his team of Tom Pearson, Colin Bishop and  Mike Kimbell to record a score of 126 (15 under par). In second place a tie on 129 saw Shane Rose’s team, Gordon Chiverton, Dick Spaughton and John Chamberlain pip Tim Rouse’s team (Chris Charlesworth, Gary Keyes and Phil Beswick) on a back nine count back. Sittting in fourth place was Stuart Kier’s team (Lee Cross, Scott Fleming and George Donnelly on on 130.
