A miserable day greeted the local professionals to the re-organised pro-am at Kingsthorpe Golf Club sponsored by Johnny Walker (Diageo). Eventual winner Mike Gallagher (Farthingstone) was the only professional in the red with a 1-nder-par-68. Tied for second place with a 1-over-70 was Shane Rose (Cold Ashby), Jason Newman (Cherwell edge) and Carl Sainsbury (Brampton Heath). Third place also saw a tie of four players on 2-over-par-71, Dan Wood (Brampton Heath), Nick Soto and Tim Rouse (Northants County) and finally Bryn Morris (Kibworth).
The team event saw Brampton Heath professional Carl Sainsbury and partners Guy Loveland, William Rice and Clarke Stanley claim victory. In second place was Stuart Kier (Overstone) with amateurs Matt Evans, Barry Evans and Dave Watson. In third saw Jason Newman (Cherwell Edge) with partners Max Belcher, David Clews and Andy Gregg.
