Rain and blustery conditions greeted the Professionals at the start of the 36 hole strokeplay championship. However it did not put off Sam Jarman (Collingtree) with a fine 66 (-3) in the morning to lead by 3 from Simon Lilly (European Challenge Tour). John Chivers was also in touch with a 70 followed by three players on 72.
The afternoon saw the weather improve along with the scoring, but it was Jarman playing alongside Lilly that kept the scoring going to finish with 66-70 for a 136 (-2) total. Lilly came second with 69-72 followed by Mike Gallagher (Farthingstone) with 72-70 for a 142 total.
