The wind and rain hit Silverstone, but it was Simon Lilly (Wellingborough) that showed his class with a seven shot victory over the field. Lilly shot an almost bogey free round of 68 (-4) to beat Bryn Morris (Kibworth) to second with a 75 (+3) followed by Shane Rose (Cold Ashby) and Stuart Kier (Overstone Park) with 77 (+5). The team event went to Morris' team of George Montgomery, Mike Abbotts with 130 (-14) followed by Lilly's team of amateurs Les Bone, Colin Bishop with 135 (-9) just pipping on countback the Sponsors team of Matt Sherrell, Shaun Balch and Graham Castle and Professional Rodney Holt.
