On a fine dry day that showed spring was around the corner a field of 22 teams played in the Northants County Pro Am sponsored by Clarity Credit Management Solutions. Considering this year’s winter weather the course was in fine condition with firm fairways and running greens. The scoring reflected a tricky wind, in the professional medal two players broke par Carl Sainsbury Brampton Heath and Paul Armstrong Kingsthorpe. Carl returned a round that included 5 birdies, to shoot 3 under 67 to beat Paul (69) by two shots, in third was Stuart Kier level (70) from Overstone Park. Simon Lilly - Wellingborough (71) finished in 4^th, with Mike Gallagher of Farthingstone at further shot back in 5^th.

The team event saw one team stand out score 124 minus 16, produced by the team of Paul Armstrong, backing up Paul’s excellent 69 the team of Kevin Hitchcock, Lee Hitchcock and Max Armstrong romped to victory over Jason Newman’s team from Cherwell Edge. They returned an excellent 129, eleven under, to pass Stuart Kier’s team on 130. James Whittemore’s team finished 4^th being edged out of third on count back. Finishing in 5^th place was the team John Chivers from Cold Ashby on 132.
