A Beautiful day greeted the golfers to the first of the 2009/10 Winter Series, and it was Rose that bloomed in the autumn sunshine with a 64 (-8) round his home course. Young Dan Wood (Brampton Heath) came in 2nd with a sparkling 68 (-4) in his first outing as a Northamptonshire Professional. Third was his Head Professional from Brampton Heath Alan Wright with 69 (-3)
The Team event went to Simon Lilly (Kettering) with his amateurs Les Bone, Chris Ellson and Alan Harrison with 125 (-19). Second was Professional Shane Rose with his Amateurs Capper Rose, Dick Spaughton and Gordon Chiverton with 128 (-16)
The Nearest the Pins were won by Mike Shakeshaft and Les Bone.
